Not To Exceed

What is Not To Exceed?
A Not To Exceed (“NTE”) is the maximum dollar amount designated for the job on a work order and the invoice cannot exceed that amount.  If you attempt to invoice above the assigned NTE, you will receive an error message and the invoice will not be submitted for approval.

How does a work order with an assigned NTE work?
Like every other work order, with one exception.  If your invoice is going to
exceed the NTE assigned to that work order you must submit a quote and
receive approval of that quote prior to submitting the invoice.

What if the job costs more than the NTE?
You will need to submit a quote and receive approval of that quote prior to
submitting your invoice.

Can I have the NTE changed?
Only by your customer via the quote process.

Is the NTE always going to be the same amount for initial service requests?
No, NTEs may vary by work order.
